Hand over the mustard and nobody gets hurt!
Wendy's Fries and Mustard are a heavenly combination. The person taking my order at NEX's refused to serve or sell me the sauce. I told her I always get the sauce in a small cup when I asked for it. She insisted that she can only sell me mayo, cheese and what nots even after asking her manager. The best she could do was add more mustard to my burger. I politely accepted the situation and decided to have my dinner in peace. After a few mouthfuls, I decided that Wendy's sucked so bad without the mustard. So I went back to her with my tray half done and asked where the sauce in the burger is. She couldn't figure out where the sauce was either. And panicked for a few good moments, even considering to give me a new burger. I told her to give me the mustard sauce in a dip cup and I'll be good with that. She served me a meager amount but I was happy with it. I could see she's unhappy. But dude, all I want is some sauce. Is is that difficult? Nonetheless, my meal became so much more appetising after some small unhappiness.
I can be a difficult customer if I want to.
SO, HAND OVER THE MUSTARD AND NOBODY GETS HURT! HAHAHAHAHA!

from Blogger to Facebook to Twitter to Whatsapp and really, what's next? I've no clue. But I'm not about to hop on to any new social media platforms. I'm proud to say I'm really happy with FB, Blogger and Twitter. Let's just stay that way!

Happy Chinese New Year one and all! Though some may argue that it should be Lunar New Year, because we live in a multiracial society. But I prefer the former because there's more originality to it!

I've been shopping out of control this year, bought really, tonnes of shirt. But I'm sticking to plain tees this year. Definitely will have my dose of fanciful cotton tops, but I'm tired of picking graphic tees or acquired pieces. I wanna pick from a palette of simple colours. waha!

On the side note. I'm sure most of us are familiar with the traditional Loh Hei! It's the part where people start to chant out prosperous blessings and wishes for themselves and those around the table. And then we also have Fortune Readings, where people sort of predict your fortune for the year. I get really amused when those who have a military career get told that they're going to have a "good business" or "career promotions" this year. Because we all know for fact that you can't really rise through the ranks or appointments within a year right. But nonetheless, things like, having a safe journey, being successful in every endeavour and smooth sailing in every task!

have been a good kid this new year, was down at the market twice to help at dad's store! 4 am and we're already there and stained with more than just fishball essence and the market stench, but also the air of festivity and a sense of prosperous rowdiness, I guess it's a good way to welcome the new year! in my honest and unoffensive opinion, those who've children and work at the market try to get their children down so that they can do more than just get help from the younger generation, but the evil side of me thinks that these parents honestly want to show off as well. my dad always has it best though, he looks so young such that people believe that he's my elder brother, and the best part comes when they ask how many children he has. THREE SONS, then you can see the rainbow in their eyes. epic. hahahaha!

According to the tv, I should be more thorough in my admin work because people will wanna try to get me involved in ****, I should watch myself because I'll be getting more temperamental, I'll need to control my finances, I can see it going out of control already, I shouldn't be involved in business dealings and I should wear black. LOLS. OKAY I got tonnes of blackish greyish stuffs! :D

Managed to get some time off to relook my new year resolutions, and they're definitely more than befitting for this year!

Been hitting the tracks and gym with Izak last tues and thurs! It was awesome! wahahaha, first day run till the stitches came. I guess that's how long we've NOT been running. gymmed abit with lots of advise from him. hopefully we'll keep it up and we'll see something different by my birthday! be there or be sqaure!

Was at the 4th TDA competition held in SP.

Saw the juniors rock the dance floor. The smile on their faces, the sweat in many places after all these sacrifices. Isn't that the best feeling ever?

For those who walked home happy with them medals, here's a clap for you, and for those who walked home with the motivation to train and strive harder, there's just so much more standing ovations awaiting you.

Sometimes I just wonder if it's me or am I the only tard beside the dance floor tapping and shaking my head away.

Wallet, Braun Buffel, Attica Too.

Seriously, I'm so sorry to those who got me that wallet. But branded wallets are in demand everywhere. Looting is shit, seriously.

The earphone they got me went into the washer. The wallet they got me was stolen. I think I need to take better care of the things they get me.

When you find or loot a wallet, I would think that it makes common or good sense to pop it back somewhere the owner can easily track. In all honesty, you can take the cash, you can take the card, but it's the small little things that one slips in there that matters. All the polaroids and miscellaneous what nots have a good value to the owner.

Not to forget, the need for me to cancel my card, replace my 11b and ezlink.

To the person who took my wallet? I hope you eat, sleep and live easy. Because I'm sure you entire lineage just got hit by seriously bad karma.

For those who haven't been losing things. The first thing you should do is to make a police report. I went down to Cantonment Police Centre for mine. Then, ensure all your cards have been cancelled. Since I'm still serving the nation, I had to ensure the respective personnel have been informed. It's a real hassle, if you really need that few bucks in my wallet, just take it and leave the rest.

Now I'm just really at a lost cause some of the small ding dongs what not really hold good meaning.

But being the optimist, I'm still trying to find the light behind this nightmare. Or the reason this happened. And I've yet to find an answer.

I concluded that clarkequay shit ass pubs and bars should be out of bounds for me from now on.

So much waiting to do these days.

There are literally two kinds of people out there in the world. People who believe that change come from within. People who believe that change come from without. And there are some who believe that change come from both ends, the inbetweens, I'm one of them. Internal and external factors are both equally important. Except that those who believe that change come from within get things done more quickly, those who believe in externalism, usually wait till the environmental factors are right.

But me? I'm plain lazing, sometimes I'm really just waiting for things to happen. I'm going to start on my NTU application after the busy is over. And sometimes, I just really can't wait for 'the time to come'. So much waiting I'm doing.

Especially the part about getting a new pooch! BOY AM I EXCITED. Of course, I was thinking, what would happen if I decided that perhaps, I don't really like my little pup, like many hotheaded ex-dog lovers out there. but here's the catch that I always quote. which many end up giving me the eye for. "love the person you marry and marry the person you love" it used to be "love the person you married, not marry the person you love" in the part, where our predecessors met through arranged marriages, was it possible to find or eventually 'develop' love? those that came through with a blessed relationship probably found themselves loving the person they married. to make the best out of the people and situation that were 'made in heaven'. some disagree, because they realised the person they married wasn't the hotblooded girl next door they grew up with, or the macho rickshaw puller who always gave the most blinding smiles when they went past the streets every time of that day. but either way, what I wanna get at, from the best of both world, is to do what you like, and when you're doing it, like it even more, in fact, love it!

people i meet always like to say, "BUT I DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE" dude, you had a choice, just that you really couldn't afford the other choice that perhaps, you preferred. then again, things like where you were born and stuffs, can't really be picked. but let's say that we believe in reincarnation and stuffs like that, would you believe me if I told the previous you picked this place and time of birth so that you could learn something or gather something out of this? :)

And I'm shit sick tired of having to update my itunes playlist so many times. First, the computer I was using, which wasn't mine, decided to be reformatted, then I re configured and re-gathered my music back, now, I'm on another laptop I borrowed, and I have to do this shit again. I think even my iPod's getting tired of this shit. hahaha. seriously. AND I KNOW I WON'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM IF I HAD MY OWN LAPTOP.

Dance. oh my god, back to the days when we were still dancing and felt so free. poly days, seriously, I can't wait to rekindle my love with dance. just waiting for the right time to come, it's so hard when the schedules of two persons don't match that easily.

of people you're made to work or be around with. sometimes I just wish to myself that better people be placed around me, people I can pick, people of certain criteria and calibers. but when I get to the end of it, I'll always think to myself, these people, for some reason, or some fate, have been my the people in my life for a good reason! so is there something that we can take away or give to them? i guess yes!

even though I would like to give a short complain that I get very sick and tired of people who're just interested in listening to themselves only. people who're really opinionated, really, really, really opinionated. i mean, no, and people who over exaggerate things. and phrase it in a way that what they're saying now, is really, really important, when it isn't.

we always wish for the luxury of having people we can be proud of, people we can love, people that just make things right for us, so I wonder, why don't we make ourselves the luxury people want to have around?

Flooding

Human flooding, here comes the time of the year where Chinatown gets really, really flooded. It never really bothered me, until I shifted to this part of Singapore. hahaha.

I still remember when I was a kid, after every Chinese New Year at Grandma's house, Dad would bring us down to Chinatown for a stroll, there, we'll just look at all the new year junkies. We usually don't get anything, because we're not big fans of CNY what not goodies. But once every while, good finds like interesting calligraphy will get picked up. Sounds really contradictive right, but just picture a household flooded with CNY scrolls and what nots, yar, we're not that kind. hahaha.

Milktea wise, there's this drink called Snow white, the shop that sells this never fails to show up at your Pasar Malam and CNY roadstalls. But they've since stopped, since don't know when. Those who had their childhood milktea stained with little barbie dolls stucked to the shaking machine will know what I'm talking about.
I've since, never found the store, perhaps I'll get to find it when I fly to Taiwan?! but the closest any Milktea store's got to that drink is Cup Walker's Honey Milktea, which is different from your typical honey milktea. And Each A Cup's lychee milk tea. If only Cup Walker made lychee milktea, MAYBE there'll be some chance for my taste buds to once again, set foot on that nostalgic taste. Lols, set foot, more like experience, but whatever.

Haircut wise...
Klearcut's closed today, so Sis and I can't get our hair done. I've never set foot in a barber since commissioning days. Thy shall not spot a hairdo same as that of a recruit or cadet. HAHAHAHA. So since Klearcut's down, I'll save the next trip for CNY. Got my cut a Kojimaya. It'll rate it as a SAFE cut. Because they don't really surprise, neither do they disappoint. There's this guy who's always being sought after. I didn't get his name, but if you're going down there for a cut, it'll only cost you 10 dollars. Waiting time's a pain because everyone wants him to do the cutting. So you've got to tell him you want him to do your hair, else they'll just work by the alternating system, which every stylist is free will cut the person who's next inline. I thought my left side was a bit too long, but he says it's alright. Klearcut always surprises. So I'll make sure I'll never make this mistake of getting stuck before booking in. And like everyone knows, in this big organisation, you as the one bar, must not be the one spotting the wrong hair do. HAHAHA. So oh well, I do not have the luxury of waiting another day.

as of now, I'm really bloated, but with good supper junkies. just popped back from supper with Edna and Bernard. So that's basically how I spent my new year. Movie with Nard and Supper with the supper buds!
Watched Sherlock Holmes and I thought it was awesomely entertaining. It's hard to put nifty plots of sherlock standards into a 2 hour movie. But we definitely had more than good a peek at how Mr Holmes' thought process went, in a Matrix like manner. Really interesting! After that, our tummies started to rumble and my craze for steak just kept coming.
So eventually, I had steak at crazy jack, jalan kayu, oh my goodness, the cravings for steak. All the way from Aussie! Wasn't too bad, it's gonna kill me if I'm trying to compare the steak standards with that of Aussie every time.
The tradition is to have selegie soyabean stuffs after. And that totally hit the spot, explains the spot I'm in now. Bloated, but not overloaded.

As for 2012, many things are gonna happen this year. The ones I'm looking forward to include my Uni entrance, my 22nd Birthday, the little puppy I'm gonna get, the taiwan trip with office.

ORD isn't a goal, unlike for most. It's a milestone. When time is up, I'll be really sad, but then again, I can't afford to extend. But really, next life or something, sign on is the way to go. hahahah

The year in review should see more critic than not.

So anyway, I decided that I should pen down all that shit that pisses me off, those of this entire year so I don't bring it into the new year.

Anyway, the most recent has to be from someone close.
Someone with really bad attitude and a poor sense of will to learn. Seriously, how would you expect anyone to teach or guide you if you're always on the negative ends of things? When people talk to you nicely or seek to explain things in the most positive and friendliest way possible, you just bark, shout or reply in a tone as if we all owe you something. Make sure you don't complain when your children talk to you like that either.
There is no need to describe how inappropriate you are. You would like to pass superficial and fleeting comments on how my friends are and how I live my life. But seriously, any comments from you, are just like trash flipping out from the rubbish can. Nope, no credibility.
You don't like me bringing the laptop to the toilet because I find the joy of killing time and watching my cartoons while I soak away, but yet you can do that with your own laptop. If you really don't like me touching your stuffs, then don't touch mine either! Don't borrow my clothings, don't use my bags or watches. It's really ridiculous how I allow you to make snide remarks when I wear your shirt, but yet when you borrow my bags, watches and everything else, I just smile to myself and tell myself it's okay. Look shithead, the phone you use was bought by me.
When I need a ride to bring things around, the only thing that can motivate you is probably cash. And after that, you went ahead and complain about how I mistreat you as compared to my friends. DUDE, you're the service provider, you concentrate on getting your job done. Ensuring the vehicle is available and delivering everything else you're paid for. If you can't even understand the demands of being a service provider. I'm pretty sure you have a cheap understanding of what work and attitude should be. With this current mindset and attitude, you'll never see your salary rising. And I don't need to be nice on this part.
Go reflect. The only reason I bothered to talk to you nicely is because I believe that someday you'll become a better person. But as of now, I've already killed that thought. And oh yah, all the whey protein and steroid what nots you're taking to build your body are full of extra testosterone your body won't need, that's why you talk like a brainless pig, everyday.

JC kids
I just don't get the shit with JC kids. Almost all of them think they're smarter than poly kids. They're no doubt, more book inclined than the poly students. But really, are they really that smart? One claimed that poly and ITE kids have a low sense of self esteem and they don't really have a chance in anything good in life as compared to the JC kids.
And they're pretty much capable of proclaiming that they're able to make things like build their own mountains and kingdoms. And when they're challenged, should they fail. They just end it with a, fail then fail lorh. So you're telling me that JC kids are people who have no backing or weight on their words?
The best is when this JC douchebag told me that a pair of shure in ear ear phones were capable of replicating a surround sound atmosphere. I was pretty much convinced, so I went down to give the Shure 535 a try, and that's when I found out, it sounds fucking the same as a pair of Jays Woody's 2, wrong, the latter sounds even better. And mind you, a pair of Shure 535 would cost you 700+- while Woody's 2 only cost less than 150. So you wanna tell me who's more streetsmart again? Brandwhores.
If you guys really are that good in everything, then perhaps one of them wouldn't have failed his driving test 3 times in a row right?

I've been on the idea of talking to people in politically correct manners. Making sure the phrasing of concepts and thoughts are appropriate until they're close individuals.
But really, I think some people just really aren't worth the effort.

3 quarter into the run

It's the year end. And everyone and everything's about how things are gonna end, I hope that doesn't include 2012. How the year has been and most people are just excited about the entire month of December, mostly a month of parties and what not for most.

I guess I'm really missing out a lot, but that's largely because most of those who I know don't really dig Christmas. But there still is a fair share going on. Meeting up with the nine lovely ladies on the 24th, ocs service term section mates on 23rd and, pro term section mates on 24th noon I guess? You will never find me at a church because I've decided that it's not the place I belong. In my most sincere plea, there is no need to invite me to a church however polite it is to you.

I think the sad thing about having your birthday on the last day of the year is that people have to make a blatant choice between your birthday and a crazy year end countdown. They could be there, but they'll be leaving early. Unless you're too cool for school and your birthday party IS good enough to carry the countdown party itself or your friends are sweet enough to countdown with you, every year.

Been sick for the past 6 days. The first was all about waking up with a spinning headache, fever and a totally sore throat. Eventually found out that it included swollen tonsils. Long story short. My entire office got hit because we were all too un-cautious with wild durians. I swore the durian was that good! It was milk white, had the perfect blend of bitter and sweet on top of its undisputed texture. All in all, it was pure heaven eating it. You could compare it to your road side luxuries of D24, King of the Cat Mountaing, Red Prawn etc. Until everything set in. Definitely not worth all the trouble.

Everyone saw the Doctor except for me. I totally self-medicated my way through this nasty sickness. Although I'm only halfway done. What's left is only for my tonsils to be less swollen although it doesn't hurt any more. Been having a wee bit of cough, I think I over dose the dequadins. hmmm. okay.

In light of all this nonsense. The only silver lining I had and can make sense of is all the healthy eating I've been doing. Most meals were soup based. I've been abstaining from the fried. I'm slowly making my way back to cold milk tea. But I've been diligent in warm, if not hot drinks. I swear when I was live and well, I always thought warm milktea is for retards. Who would ever drink that?! Chilled milk tea is an all timer. So when I finally fell sick, I realised warm milk tea was the only thing that made sense. I realised, I was retarded, also. HAHAHAHAH pun intended.

I found this really good store in Smith Street Eating Complex, I think I'm just making up the name in accordance to the location of the makan place so bear with me. When I finally get the time to vamp up this blog, which should be some time soon... I'll include all the good makan places along with the address and nice foodie pictures yah?

So basically the name of this store was "Doctor Soup" and brainless to say, it sold Soup meant for the health conscious! Or at least Soup meant for the ail and dying, like myself, a few days ago. I'm alive and kicking now. I walked the entire market before settling for this one. It was the ONLY store selling healthy soup. The store owner recommended his signature dishes and the others in accordance to what ailments they were meant to treat. He definitely knew his stuff and wasn't out to get you to "buy the soup". I liked that a lot and got something that was duck-based. The owner took the small broth out of a big brothel, I mean, you know, a gigantic broth that kept the many other small broths. Almost like a harem, but not exactly, so nonsense aside, the owner even made good effort to scoop out the oil at the top before serving it to me. I swore it was perhaps one of the best soup around! There was the slightest of any crappy SALT, SUGAR, MSG what nots. The Soup was clear and was everything I wanted and needed. There were good portions of meat and mushrooms. And the most important part a sick person or any soup connoisseur would agree with me that is the soup stayed warm throughout the entire meal! Thanks to the clay broth holder the owner used. I think the clay broth pot probably played two distinct roles of cooking the soup evenly and then keeping it warm throughout the entire meal. Soups were sold at 3.50 - 5.50. Definitely a decent price and top up rice were only 50 cents.

I'll definitely go back there. Period.

I just kept thinking that I should do a whole series of entries meant for sick people and what they could consider eating. hahaha!

Alright, bringing myself back to the topic after digressing for the last few paragraphs.

As the year comes to an end, I guess I can't not notice the fact that I would be officially relieved of my duties very soon. Wait no, what am I talking about... hahaha... my Operationally Ready Date closes in. if I had a choice, wait I do have a choice. but if I could afford to extend my service, I really would want to serve a tour in BMTC and OCS. just once of each will do. I've always wanted all my NSF life to be in those two schools as an Instructor. But I guess life has its way of saying, there're crazier things out there for you to do.

My office is crazy, and sometimes I just ponder to myself, how can I ever ask for more. XD well, if I had another chance, I would enlist as a red beret and sign on to every force there is. But nope, not this life time.

There are definitely many things to put into my checklist for the new year. Oh btw, the move New Year's Eve is good. hahahaha! The SPOOFS are awesome. Seriously. And coming back to the topic again, I've decided that one of the item in my checklist need to include taking up jazz dance. or at least old school hip hop. I'm just totally waiting to see how all that will work out.

And I refer back to my WHAT I WANNA DO WHEN I'M FINALLY OUT POST. I had a quick glance at it again and decided that I'll still wanna do many of those. But to top it off and make it more complete. I'll want to get a driving license. My license to ride is getting on the nerve of most already. HAHAHA. My sister would know. And if I could, get into NTU Business. Should have studied harder in poly. HAHAHHA :P

This month has been interesting. Caught up with a few people. Met a few new people. Nice.

Oh well, 3 days to Christmas. How's this year's looking? :)

I've been on leave for the past 2 days, should have been 4 instead of 2.
Never mind, I'll get it paid back another time.

I realised that I'm still not a very disciplined person, for fact I'm not. So I guess I really need to do something about it, else I'll never get the things I want, or planned for.

So out and around my mind, I've decided that there're a few things I really want in life. I want my own room. I want a big toilet, a big kitchen, a big pool, though I can't really swim, at least I can wade around. I want a gym... on and on... so in general, I just want a really big and nice house. A monster car and pikachu car. HAHAHA

I really want my privacy back, for now.

I'm still planning to get a good camera. looking at Nikon D7000 now. okay good, let's see if I can snatch a good deal any time soon.

Other than that, I'm also wishing for a good lappy soon! Need to stop depriving my brother of his laptop. I know he's getting pissed over it. Just that he's tahanning and I'm tahanning as well! :P

Sometimes, some things are really meant to be done for ourselves. Rather than doing it for others.

Comparing now and then, it's as if, life is once again, on a standstill. I think I'm someone who needs a lot of excitement and adventure in life. Sometimes, making me think that I should at least live once being a thug, a person from the darker side of this world. HA HA! I know I shouldn't go there, but hey, who are we to say life won't be better? :P

Anyway, I was seriously pissed off by this Malay Security Guard at Daiso. I'm not racist or anything, but she gave me a difficult time, so I decided to give it to her as well. Ha ha! But I think she has bad customer service, so I'll be the bad customer anyway. Yarh, here's the ignorant ass side of me. Take it and shove it.

Bernard's 21st!

Surprise!

Last Saturday was a blast. Bernard's 21st. I had a crazy time planning it, alongside with Sacha, Andrea and XueYan, as well as Bernard's Parents. Bought a few big boys toys, as in decent toys, not the dark dirty kind. HAHA. And what can I say, I hope I did my diploma justice despite the small budget :P Nard says he loved it, was awesome, and perhaps I shall dig more ego filling comments when we finally meet up. I purposely avoided him for the past 2 weeks after having touched down from Wallaby. Sleepless nights doing the posters and banners. Running around carrying heavy stuffs and swiping the moolahs out of my cards.
Well, according to the Birthday boy, he had no idea about this until the day itself. Mission Success!

Finally Jenn and I had the time to revisit and brush up our routine! Absolutely loved what we were doing!
Had supper with the DS juniors at Macs. And they were playing weird shit stuffs like, eating 'eaten' fries, the eaten fries had already been in someone else's mouth for 15 minutes, then soaked in curry sauce, after which stored in the curry sauce packaging. There were 4 boxes, whoever unlucky would pick the one with all the 'fermented' fries. This unlucky guy got real 'lucky' and my, were we all amused. Seriously! HAHAHAHA

Every wondered why we just can't live life doing the things we find absolutely fun and meaningful doing?

I loved choir and I hoped I had never left it, but there's just that much time out of work. Make time, always, I'm trying.

I've been going down to dance a little more often than regular recently, other than meeting the old and new, I was hoping I could share a little from the many places I've been, be it as a dancer, a committee member or even from the army. And I hope I did, without scaring the kids off this block.

I admit that I've to control my insanity. I quote my boss larh, "This is the image I wanna portray, WHAT, can you do?" HAHA! I absolutely love my job.

I was watching this choir video just that day, that's why I started my entry being relating directly to choir.

I learnt so much from dance that I'm doing everything I can to never leave it, and I hopefully, I never will!

Other than them learning from me, I'm sure I've learnt much from them as well, about the first world pains they live in and what a prat I could expect my next generation to be. haha! Nonetheless, a hint of love and hate in everything that comes our way.

Having a teachable heart is absolutely essential, but you've got to learn the right stuff.

Sunday night and there ain't no rush for a book-in, while, at least not till 2359!

Had to leave the ladies early after visiting Ama at her humble abode for Raya! Had some nice Mee Soto at her house and we went on Facebook to stalk some peeps. HAHAHA! So poly life right! oh well.. those were the times!

So anyway, here's the WTFMLCCB part. I put my pants in the washer with my ear phones in it... OMG... oh well... sheeted. The strange thing is, they're still working! haha strange... maybe a while till the symptoms show up!

Okay, I'm using the new blogger interface and I find it really clean, simple and neat. Wonder how the post will turn up when it's done!

I humbly want my own room back, laptop, smart phone, all that privacy, makes it easier for me to organise my thoughts and living space. Not that I don't like living cohesion, but I'm used to having my own room for the last, erm, 6 years? haha! Yes, I do want it back! Will work for it!

Anyway, on a short note, life has been good, my colleagues are awesome, life's fantastic, I don't dread the days in camp. I'm enjoying, in all honestly, let's see where life'll take us to!

Short Thoughts

The world spins, perhaps a little faster this week, explains why my week felt so short.

Army and the need to work harder. AOP was a sting, but none the less, a learning session, and so, I was a learning aide as well.

Insert photos easily. Why can't they make it easier for me to do my blog post? Photos must go with blog posts! I need to install windows blog writter for this laptop if I really wanna blog actively again.

Counting calories, mundane lifestyles and in-activeness has caused me to count my calories. Eat less carb and be protein savvy, okay maybe not. Time perhaps, let me go do some PT! :D

OCS will never end. The days we had, the times we've had, and all that we've had. We come from many places, and many places we will go. True ties last, time will tell.

Happy 21st Momsies! Was at Han's 21st. We got her the world's best card. I took some time, we preferred to customise, but oh well. "Happy Birthday Mom" Now if that card was displayed, that would turn heads! Haven't met for a real long time. We need to meet up soon. Period.

I can't drive, but I sure can ride. ;p Lez biked me to the party. And that really made my Saturday, adrenaline rush, full white attire, drizzling and on the bike without a polyester pull over. That's the sex. I advocate car rides and yet I'm on this bike. What a thought. I can't wait for photos. Sweetest Lez! ;P

I can't wear white. I spilt chilli on my polo shirt last time. A dash of teppanyaki sauce on my pants because I didn't eat properly. Coke stains on my pants, washed off eventually while at the party. No, no white stuffs.

Officers make boring talk. They talk about concepts, about ideas, about why people don't make sense like as if they do. Like as if they're right all the time. I'm one of them. I'm really damn sorry. I try my best to talk about the whacky experiences I have, and some really 'civilised' talk. XD

Always give yourself a better reason...

For those who're struggling hard to scrape through the days in places they wished they weren't. I offer you my fav. quote

"Make the best out of life wherever you are"

Honestly, there're many episodes in life where we're not held at knife point or point blank, really, you could just walk away, not do anything, or just whine about it. During the days where I was still a recruit, my OC explained the theory of rationalisation, I forgot what it was termed. But it simply meant, for an action to happen, there can be two factors behind them, plainly put, a Negative One and a Positive One. The former meant that you're only doing things because "You have to do them, else you face severe consequences" The latter would mean that "One would do something because of a certain desired outcome"

As much as it would sound like as if both were the same, I would think it's really important that people see "the higher intent" or "their higher intent".

Let me put forth a simple example.

In a car, you'll put on your seat belt because of various Negative Factors: Fines/Summons, Possible Death, Worry, Constant Nagging from your parents/peers/driver.

So you frown and decide okay, wear it, and sometimes you try, not to wear your seat belt. And you have this small war going on in your mind, debating whether you need to wear your seat belt, and if it's right or wrong.

You tell yourself, "Okay lah, I better wear it, or else..."

there's isn't any form of Ownership in this, you just really dread it, you just wanna scrape by, and you realise that you put up substandard performance/efforts and you end up nowhere either

whereas, if you focus on what you want, a more Positive Factors/Intent

You put on your seatbelt: You don't worry; you get a peace of mind, There is a good chance of survival; surviving any test put forth, you can focus on the road, you can sleep in peace, you can arrive safely, you can see your loved ones, you get to enjoy the awesome stuffs just awaiting you after this car journey, people look at you and they say, hey, that's a positive peer pressure!

"I'll wear it so..."

You skip the whole debate in your mind, and if you decide on it once and for all and keep it a Habit, you skip the constant need of having to debate all the time. There is no way you can have no Ownership in this. You own your action, you decide to be responsible for yourself and those around you.

From here on, now that you have at least a good purpose in carrying out this act, the effort you put in won't be slack, perhaps 110% and more! And I'm sure this is one pattern that can be observed in many high achievers.

Notice that most of the negative factors come with "or else" where as the Positive Ones come with "so" A small pattern to note, so next time, give yourself a good reason to do something, anything, and you'll really find that it's easier to carry out and complete any task you're given or have given yourself

If all else fails, look at it, and if it is generally encouraged, accepted, but you don't have a positive or negative reason for it, or really, like me when I'm really lazy, I say, the best reason you can give yourself, is "Just Do It!" Nike's tagline wasn't that simple after all I guess.

I hope my short sharing has helped anyone out there who needs some purpose or "push factor" in the things/tasks life has set upon them.

I still whine, but it's really for the fun of it. XD

In general, you're a Negative Factor Person if you find yourself constantly giving/making excuses, and tell yourself, nope, it is not your fault, all the time, realise that you'll eventually run out of it.

You're a Positive Factor Person if you're constantly making success, have good reasons to go the extra mile, mostly enthusiastic in carrying out endeavours your passion don't take a dig in, even if you give reasons but accept the fault (only if the fault really is yours; you could have subconsciously made a change).

It is important to know your shortcomings if you don't want to have them. But first, you have to make an objective assessment and acknowledgement of your shortfalls.

You can't change what you don't know.

With so much talk on how 'unplanned' my life in the previous few months was, the whole of last week has been filled with much 'planning!" Enough of getting lost!

Honestly, I've been getting really tired of taking photos with my more than passe Fujifilm Camera. The F series have been great. But looking back, I think it's a really good time for some good photography investment.

I quote myself, "If any picture's worth taking, it's worth being taken well" somewhat ripped off from the common "Anything worth doing is worth doing well"

Was thinking of getting a proper DSLR, many models came to mind, especially Canon's EOS 5D MK 2 since I've seen it take seriously good photos. Did a little research and found that it wasn't good for Sporting Events. Which is superbly important since I still have hopes of taking really nice DanceSport photos till I hit the dance floor again.

So I figured maybe I'll get a Nikon D300s. Not too pricey as compared to the EOS 5D MK2, noted to be a 'Semi-pro' and perhaps a really good platform to kick off! I'm really looking forward!

And on this blog, I'm linking the plans on photography with a new skin. So I'm still patiently waiting! So... just stay patient for now yeap?

I was browsing through my previous links, and I've still got to say, my favourite past work is the one on MMABE. Though it wasn't exactly complete, I still feel the pride and effort poured into it. Just a bit sad I didn't pursue anything in Flash. But really, I rather get someone to do it than rot on the chair. There's more moolah in Management! ;P

And on further studies, my answer has always been: "I'm still doing my research" and I still am, or at least have officially embarked on now. Let's just hope they won't give me the "Thank you for your application, but..." sheet. !#)(*#@! I don't need that!

And of course, I've been very eager in planning for my own room. Pouring through the Ikea catalogue, I'm just waiting to get my own room. Some peace and privacy! Like I used to have!

Was in the movies last night with JJ, Gid, Keith and Cedric, a small reunion accompanied with the most unreal experiences, unexpected acquaintances, so much catching up and we ended it all with Dim Sum supper at Swee Choon. Not the best, but it definitely hits the spot!

Was watching SuckSeed, and it's really one good Thai movie! Filled with much Romance, Bromance, Humour and lots of Music. It's almost like a promo for their local bands. Thais have a good sense of humour that most of us will witness in their local ads, and the way they infuse that into their movies just makes everything else better!

The last one I watched was about Thais undergoing National Service for the first time, and it's damn funny! Forgot the title already, shall ask Kay about it and put it up when I have it.

Was on the role of a facilitator the whole of last week since we're already over and out of JCC. The team I got wasn't really too proactive and I must say, was really hard to get them to work harder. Whatever the reason was, I couldn't really be bothered. But I guess my focus and goal is pretty much clear. Peers came over and told me they were really 'cui', meaning "Cannot make it" the night before the assessment. But they eventually made it with grades better than those under my peers.

Throughout the process, I wasn't one bit angry, for some really weird reason. But I was deemed not to blow my top because to me, that's when people really switch off.

I'm good with taking the not-so-good performers. Like what Dad says, the best Teachers teach those who need help, not those who've already got it or don't really need it.

My belief?

Always add meaning, if you can't, find meaning, if you still can't, make.

If all else fails, JUST DO IT!

I come home every weekend, bumming on the only desk in the room. On the net I surf, no boards, no waves, just my very old razer mouse and me. It's already become a habit, or lest say, a routine. And yes, routine does kill the soul.

Just like the regular nsf who comes home, wondering why his weekend is sometimes so ever-packed, and sometimes filled with loneliness and boredom, but always, ends with a rushed book in, to be frowned upon.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not in total disagreement with the things I'm doing now. But like in everything we do, there're always things to love and hate, that's what makes them fun right? And if I may digress a little, touch on the thought that's been on my mind for a while.

To sum it up short, a quote that goes like "The irony of freedom is that it comes at the expense of another" It prompted the old thoughts of things like "There's no happiness if everyone's happy". "I'm not rich if you're not poor". And the context of descriptions behind them, if it's a literal comparison, a fact, or if it's just a state of mind.

I've been in the deep of finding purpose in things I do lately. I've been preaching that a little too much, too. Then I find myself not doing certain things, many things, most probably because there's no meaning behind all that. Then it bores me, because I've never been the deep-thought-psychopath I probably am now. Or is it that the things I used to do have now lost their meaning, or the other way around?

"If I can't find the meaning to it, I'll make one then."

I'm in so much thought that I'm starting to think I'm becoming retarded. And I look at Nike's motto and I say "Okay, sometimes, this answers it".

Gotto live life with a pinch of salt at times...

I still am the wild child. And I still do stupid things. Nonsensical. WTF moments. I still have them. A lot. Just ask for a demo. ya right...

And after all that pondering of "Why are my weekends so boring". I landed on the answer that it's because "I haven't been planning them". Life's taken a stall, like stale water, murky and foul. I need some refreshment, but where do I start?

What should I do? Is this bleak silence the preparation for another brand new beginning? A surprise, an upstart I've always dreamt of? I don't know. But I cross my fingers in hope.

Then again, I've been hoping for the last 38 weeks or so, hoping for the same surprise that never comes. It's pathetic I tell you. But amazingly, it amuses me to know that hope can be so frail, but yet so unwavering.

And seriously, I've become such a 'philosopher' that I'm starting to bore my friends out. I'm sure of that. And they're really hanging on with ear muffs, literally.

. full stop. (let's put an end to all that mental talk, and okay, back to blogging, like it's always been)

Yes, yes, plans for this blog. I'm beginning to love the fact that no one ever comes here, except a funny few who stumble upon. And I need to de-link this from my facebook because I don't need all 700 odd knowing what goes on in my mind.

I wanna put up my random thoughts. The most evil, angelic and most random.

Other than that, the list of things just keep going, print those photos taken during my 9month journey, upload the RNR photos, I know they're so freaking over due.

I've been on the idea of getting a really good and nice camera. Saving up. Wonder when.

And when my time in service is up. Go on holiday. Like I've never been before. Freedom. Unrestricted.

I'll definitely pen something for OCS. The good 9 months. Enlightened. Widened.

I looked up into the night sky and I remember this friend who's so ever fond of looking at stars. And I told myself, if only that ass was here to see this. It's been like this for the ever-mesmerising night skies of Crescendo, of Tekong, of Asrama and so on...

This time, Kranji, a split second, not too long, a fast yet gentle bolt of warmth in the unfamiliar universe, a shooting star. I clasped my hands, suffocating my torch light, like a child in disbelief of believes, and I tried to make a wish. I made many. I realised I couldn't make that one wish. I haven't been planning lately, there's nothing I would wanna go all out for. It's been like that, recently I guess, "It's okay if I didn't get it..."

I'm like a sponge, I soak up habits, and after awhile. I ask myself, what the fcuk. I never used to be like that. Then I look at you and tell you in a silent whisper, it's alright, I don't need someone like you in my life. And there I go again...

When was the last time I had the opportunity to be completely happy with the choices I've made? I've seriously no idea. I've this feeling that this entire post is gonna be whinny, but, do let me have this opportunity to do and be so.

If I seriously had a choice, I'll rather not do this.

Okay, so maybe it all started with a bad morning, then again, it was me with the bad decisions and choices. So I can only blame myself, yadayadablablabla, but seriously, it sent me into peril. A whirlwind of thoughts and freak out moments. I don't need this!

The most messed up thing is to have someone messed up tell me I should stop complaining, and I guess he's right. BUT WTH! How can others not have the right to complain about how messed up you and your actions are! Then again, it sets me thinking on how one should be neutral and worked things in a more positive light.

IT'S KILLING ME. Or maybe it's because it's now going to be 2a.m. and I'm still wide awake.

And so I've decided. I need some time for renewal. Something to renew me. And until I get that. Milktea is my only painkiller.

3 months in, and we're almost half-way through, (cause parade rehearsals choke up the last month as I've heard)

It's been a good 12+ weeks, I've learnt tonnes of stuffs, met tonnes of inspiring and crazy people. A really good eye opener!

The Service Term

Professional Term has started and I've been posted into Infantry, as much as I've preferred. The Red Berets are in, and we just finished our Ex Wildcat recently. What could I say, it was a wild and wet experience with all that rain. I seriously need to visit the temples more often to pray for a rain-less JCC and etc! LOLS

As for now, I've been stucked at home, hoping that people would pull me out. Until I realised my weekend is the packed one, every other weekday's a boring one. Oh well, I'm still in a dilemma over how I'll manage Saturday.

Sunday is book-in day, and like my prediction of AWOLING, which I very much doubt will happen. Very much looking forward to Friday. Thursday is going to be a busy one, and so will Today be; Wednesday.

And like I've promised myself, to stop resting on my laurels, I hope I'll seriously get out of it! Clear this year's IPPT and then maybe I can move on!

Here's day 1 after POP and I'm guessing it's looking good! Had lunch with Bernard and Edna! Blanco Prawn Noodles, JUMBO SIZED! 10 bucks and tasted good! But I wouldn't think it's worth 10 bucks though :P Probably be able to get the same dig elsewhere for let's say, 6.50? Good food has to have a good price tag too!

So anyway, here's the rewind on the BMT journey, but I like to keep my stuffs short, as in summarised, and not how I made myself look stupid by telling my Platoon "Mine's short" when I meant "I'm gonna keep my speech short". Turned myself into a laughing stock with everyone replying, yeah, we know your's short. HAHAHA!

I digress, and always do. So anyway, My whole body's still aching, but after all that in BMT, we really don't care about minor cuts, bruises and aches unless they're gonna evolve into a whole new bigger problem. We push on, like, seriously. I had a 3p.m. on a Saturday to 8a.m. Sunday sleep, and that accounts for about 17 hours of sleep! Pretty good rest if you asked me. Except that I woke up with a feeling akin to a serious hangover! I repeat, I did not have booze, not even a drip of it the day before.

All I had was a graduation parade, 24km route march, graduation parade rehearsals, late night sleep along with section mates trying to complete the annex room, by late I mean all the way till 2.30a.m., n.e. presentation and cheerleading the week before, did I mentioned I slept from Punggol to Punggol the very same day I tried to meet Bernard and Gang and Weilin and gang? Gawd... the guilt...

Back to the main story

After the Parade, we were guided into reception by some of the ushers. I was feeling quite sianed by the fact that I can't camwhore with my section mates and my commanders while everyone snapped away happily. But I still managed to get a few with my Platoon Commander, Officer Commanding and CO, and also one with the Reviewing Officer! Aunt was there to help us feel comfortable and she took some nice photos as well! Many officers of various ranks came over to strike up a conversation, keeping us really occupied, and I was getting amused with the fact that my outspoken PC had trouble keeping topics flowing with my parents around, but oh well, he's the same age as I am, why am I being so irritatingly demanding towards him. Ha ha! Here's the irritating side of me I don't show in camp XD Very vexing to keep up with. XD

And I must not miss out the point of how glad I am in not screwing up the award ceremony, which I always had trouble with, wrong drills, careless mistakes and the inability to hear certain commands since I was always at the furthest end. Thank goodness! (minus out the uber soft SIR!) I guess I did okay! :D

Before all ended, I found Weilin, Daphne, Yunting, Amalina, Kai Ling and Pang Cheng! OMG Heart popped! They were waiting for me! So happy can! haha. We got a few super happy snaps, sounds like a meal or something, jump shots and stuffs! And like the whole world is, as I am, shocked that I got the Company's Best Recruit award. Yes, I'm now officially the CB. XD

24 KM was uber fun! I was saved from the abrasions that usually plagued us during our normal route marches. skin tape all over the place, to the extent that one of the officers asked me why I had tape on during the reception. I know I'm probably the most irritating IC ever for route march, always making sure people marched in steps and with little gaps, but I cut the slack right after 20 km since everyone started to die and the main objective was to reach the destination. so hopefully no one will throw a punch at me when I'm strolling aimlessly on orchard road right?! XD

Graduation Parade Rehearsals were a killer, we went on despite the rain, but oh well, complain what sheet, we all wanna POP right?! Heh! So in the end, we had a happy bunch of graduating and slightly under the weather recruits, this shows we've been training! XD

Through the days we've been together for the past 17 weeks, we've been complaining about when this is all gonna end, and at our last week, we were still complaining, about how fast this is all gonna end, and the time we didn't have to have together. I'm gonna miss you guys!

Hour+ to booking-in, sitting in front of the computer, thinking that I should really maximise my weekends outside of the house. Literally wasted my Sunday evening at home because someone decided to skip the birthday celebration. I have really no idea what sort of joke it looks like, but nonetheless, it deserves to be chucked and let's just move on from there.

Mini last minute Wii session at Nard's house to prep for the actual session, hahaha, then I found out one of my Vodka bottle is missing! WT!

So anyway, I think I've already done enough damage this weekend, 3 Milktea + 1 Honeymilk tea within 2 days, not forgetting all the chips, fried nonsense and sugar-filled snacks during Guard Duty. LOLS! How do you spell mess up again? Nahahaha!

As the days of high-key events seem less further away, we're all looking forward to getting them over and done with, that is, well done I hope!

Days in army are quite a daze; that's just what they appear to be on weekends. And after all that happiness, your merry bubbles are popped as you're once again sent back to your barracks. What's installed? You never know. Optimism is vital for pretty much everything, and I hope I'll never run out of it. Back in in a few hours, back out in a few days.

Dance is doing well, dance is doing good, tonnes of work to do since we've not accustomed ourselves to the tempo of the music for quite sometime already.

Every hour outside of camp is like a gift from this dear land.

4. Pick up a new Language (maybe I should bring a language book in someday)

5. Get a MacBook Pro or ASUS or some damn awesome brand laptop, I’m sure the models and specs will be fantastic by then

6. Do Charity! Still contemplating what though…

7. Explore new frontier and garner new experiences

Okay dokays! Finally had time to do this at some ungodly hour.

I’ll take the story as a whole larh, using the pics to pop in sentences for peeps here and there, and since I was idiotic enough to bring my camera to graduation without a memory card, I’ll rip photos off facebook! :D Low res post! XD (sorry no HD today =X)

Okay, let’s begin here, where I’ll say, actually, I’m quite a camera shy person! (NOT!)

Photo by KY! I must admit that camera she was carrying produces great shots! Love the clarity and the irritatingly saturated colours! HAHA

I never knew graduation was such a big hoohah in SP, the stuffs they send out is like woah, and for our poly, instead of having an announcer reading the names, they have a system that reads the slip carrying your name and barcode, when you scan the slip, the system will broadcast your name; which has already been professionally recorded, and I even know they have different voice over personnel for e.g. Indian names, you can hear the difference in tone. It’s something that amuses me, that’s why I’ve been observing for so long! But trust me, I may be wrong on a few of my assumptions. But nonetheless, the Photography, Videography and everything was really professional, can’t afford any slip-ups since it was the first session, media and everyone else was there!

Initially, I was thinking of wearing the Harry Potter specs, but since my dad was gonna be there, I couldn’t afford any stupidity, it’s always been like that, I’m the perfectly sane son. HAHA! As most of you would know. So let’s continue!

Not exactly, this time round, I just wanna keep things simple, really have no drive to spice up the whole blog thing. Simple you know? Simple, just a place to leave small notes now and then, I also took away the search console above; as many blogs have it, because I don’t need people jabbing words and looking for them. You wanna dig me? Scroll all the way down and do your homework! nah! kidding!

I promise and assure you, if it (blogging) was as easy as updating my facebook and tumblr( oh wait, I don’t have one, I only have twitter, haha!), I’m sure I’ll ignore little of this. Updating might already be a daily thing; or perhaps hourly thing!

And as I type this, I’m just feeling more and more uncomfortable as my face starts to feel all oily over again, not like a pig being roasted or anything else close, but I guess the weather isn’t doing any of us any favour at all.

Quite a contrary to the past, I used to love blogging and prayed the whole world would bother to stumble over or something to actually give a heck about what I blog. Nowadays, I just need no one to read. Kidding, I know I have my small pool of curious readers, thanks for being around, and I hope I’ll be able to continue entertaining you with my 2 cents worth and daily do-abouts.

My feet is hurting, with all the small shards of glass still inside, I’m taking half day off tuesday to roll into the polyclinic, hopefully they can remove everything, by everything I mean glass shards only, by the day itself. And hopefully the bills aren’t high, and I can buy a LCD TV that’s big enough for the family living room for the upcoming instalment!

What’s installed? I won’t give any peepers here, but I promise you it’ll be either up on facebook or here first. I already bombed a whopping 700 on it. Gonna surprise my brothers soon, but since the living room tv is the size of my laptop screen now, I guess I should just hold off first. Who wants to be glad about the new entertainment system but all the best you do is squint at some 11 inch tv. HAHAHA! Pathetic! I know, but oh well, the previous few just blasted themselves, I always told everyone they shouldn’t place the telly near the sun, when the afternoon sun comes in I guess everything just spoils, but nobody ever bothers to listen, serves them right! =D

I was supposed to have done this post, along with the ADD post a long long time ago, but I really haven’t had the time to do the updates. I always tell myself how I should get the entry done properly, then I end up not doing anything at all. HAHA!

But okay, after this I’ll be doing my KL trip post (if I can!) and of course the Graduation Post along with the ADD Special, sounds like a plan eh! (on the side note, I need to stop the HAHAHA, which I picked up from someone, need to get back to the XD)

I definitely won’t be updating much after going into National Service, might be a blessing if I even get to update FB or twitter… LOL

On the KPOP side, tonnes of groups have been coming back, the latest with Super Junior and Wondergirls, absolutely love them both! Lee Hyori’s comeback was awesome though it’s the first time I’m listening to her, and I wish 2PM all the best! While I hope MBLAQ comes back soon! :D

Enlistment and DWM!

Enlistment is on the 7th of June in Tekong, in a, I heard, new school called school 4. I wonder why there’s a need for a new school when our population is supposedly said to be, dwindling, okay nvm, new facilities then.

So we’re like, kindda sad, cause I won’t be able to make it for the July competition, guess it’s all routine for now then, dance literally.

And for those who’re still thinking that DWM is a person, no, it’s a Diploma with Merit. HAHA! And I got a High Breed Media (Singapore) Prize. (I secretly think it’s a low merit though :P cause honestly… please read following) Okay, I know I didn’t sell my soul to studying, but I’ve always hoped to graduate with a merit since year 1. thankful to all the classmates, lecturers and people I’ve met along the way who have all made it possible! :D my deepest khamsahamnida and congrats to the other few recipients!

On the trash note, isn’t it sad to know some people only treat you as their dumping ground. When all the world’s shittiest stuffs happen to them, they come to you, when they need you, they come to you, when they need a listening ear, they come to you. But when they’re done crying or dumping their shit and using you as a piece of worthless toilet paper, they scoot off and you’ll never hear from them again, when you’re looking for them, they ignore, they run away, they block you (or at least I guess they do). XD

Perhaps I need to move on, really, been sticking around and waiting too long. And seriously, don’t appreciate some people who think damn highly of their know-it-all when deep down inside, they’re just really dumb trash who’re too afraid to face reality. And I have to be nice and all and not give them the good’ol skyetan reality slap and beating. When they wanna insult and ram at you, they’re allowed to, but when I ramp up my sarcasm and my usual nonsensical 2 cents worth, they get angry and fly into a fit. Fragile piece of fark. I mean it’s fine if you wanna play nasty, then you’ll have to accept me being nasty too, and it’s also fine and all if you fall once and I’ve to pick you up nicely, but if I’ve to constantly do this and you never learn, and what’s more I only get treated like a tool. THEN FARK OFF ALREADY MAN. LIKE SERIOUSLY. I’M SORRY IF I TREAT YOU NICE BUT YOU TREAT ME FARK. And I hope you find someone awesome who can do all the same shit and more without expecting anything at all in return. Oh, please don’t be sensitive and think it’s you like how everyone always assume it’s them I’m talking about. If it’s you, YOU’LL KNOW IT’S YOU. HAH!

So I guess starting from now on, I’ll have to treat those around me better, those who’ve been around, and are still around.

As for you, I’m done already. Yeah. I’m done being the one making the efforts all the time. So if you want something, you had better work for it. But I don’t expect anything from you anyway. Been great knowing you. Yarh, I hope your “dreams” do come true.

On the side note, I stopped linking my blog to my facebook, because I’m starting to believe that my blog’s even more private than my facebook… HAHAHA

A short moment in no time

I guess this will be one of the few rare chances of me coming onto my blog for an update. It’s rare, I assure you, rare like the chances of finding a needle in a bucket of sand. You just have to get it right, else it’ll prick you like goodness knows.

Time has really come to a standstill, or at least there’re lesser opportunities for instabilities to occur. It’s getting to a boring to an extent that I’m telling myself, it’s probably a breather for the days to come. There’s NS ahead, everyone’s getting their letters, like random leaves falling from the trees, leaving a few clueless, and the rest, distressed.

Sometimes I update my facebook a little too often, and I wonder, why is it so difficult to get images from my iphone up fb and the blog. Really, user friendliness is really overrated these days…

I have this thought of printing all my blogposts and archiving them for myself to read in… probably 10 years time? haha! then I’ll figure out what I’ll want to do with this blog…

And on a random side note, perhaps the blogosphere, the online networks and the facebooks are no longer private any more. The best place to air your thoughts is still to your pooch or your loved ones or something along the line of friends and the trusted circle.

I’m really toying with the idea of getting myself a lil’ poochie! HAHA! I’ve always wanted one, but I shall reconsider once again when I’m out of the army… XD

I’m chewing on nuts as I type this, seaweed peanuts to be specific. Reason? It’s the exams and I’m a fool for snacks during this period. Just today itself, I already got out of the house twice to get my munchies and pearly wearlies. XD Okay, okay, milktea honey milktea if you ain’t getting anything.

Many of you must think it’s a really sad period for us poly students… Yes, and No. Yes because it does suck to be the one stucked mugging while everyone enjoys the kicking back and relaxing and other brainless chores like cleaning, cleaning and yes, spring cleaning. But no worries, I’m not alone, apparently my second brother is suffering too! That’s great, because I am a sadist. LOLS. Communism FTW! kidding~

My shopping is not yet complete, so I guess I shall try either the coming Thurs or Fri to pack in the extra pair of shoes I need.

Tomorrow’s paper is all about negotiation, and I’ve got a feeling it’s gonna be a tough paper… Hmm… So what am I doing here? Well, I did cover the last 3 chapters, and I’ll be back to mugging the first 3 after dinner. Then I’ll run through my notes another time by morning.

Happiest 23+ to Kaikai! Really sorry I couldn’t be there, but this is the last lap, and knowing myself, I’ll still be in a hangover if I did go… =X

The next paper is entrepreneur, and I really have no idea how anyone will be able to study that… It looks really clutter and the worst part is that the 2 tests are only a day apart. Siansation right! LOLS

Wait, did I mention I cut my tail off too? Haha! Everyone gives me the raised eye brow and wtf look when they see the new short cut. All I can say is, it’s about time, and good riddance! Ha ha! I did keep the tail for memory sake! Without the tail, shampoo time went down by 75%. LOLS

So at least this time at the family gatherings, I don’t have to answer weird questions and gazes to my tail. ~~Screw~~ them, whiny kids.

School has already become a tight portion of history, unless someone does bother to fail or flunk their last papers of their diploma, must be really more than lame. As if 9k isn’t a bad investment already. LOLS.

Everyone’s writing post-poly posts, but I’ll say, it’s not the time yet, I’ll keep mine for post-ADD. Hopefully work won’t be choking by then. Like I always say, we ARE in the same industry, so there’ll be tonnes of chances to meet up. And I’m get really bored of meeting the same people over and over again, unless of course they’re crazy. Still, I’ll miss them in time to come, but being the awesome us, I got a feeling we’ll be catching up even 20 years later, so, no prob larh~

10th SGDF Nationals

Sometimes, you gain something, and you lose something, and perhaps today’s the day for that.

Also known as the 3rd NTU Nationals, SPDS has once again proved that crap can happen before competition, this happens, that happens, we end up at the wrong venue (luckily it was near the correct venue) and we have tonnes of ups and downs.

Other than being constantly questioned about why myself and tayyuhan are both not competing, I guess I had a lot of fun being an audience and a part time team manager. (and the reason for not competing is because of partnership, studies and projects, and a small portion to the real big desire to rest a little)

I would think this competition is a pretty enjoyable one!

The juniors did us proud, really, some of them danced in a way it made my heart skipped, some of them melted my heart while others brought unshed tears of joy, we’re really, really proud of you guys. Still, more is expected, and I’m sure they’re capable of so much more!

I did do my job as a hair stylist okay, proud to be the official mobile salon choice for most medal winning athletes. XD

Most people don’t see the back end effort, but we’re proud to say we enjoyed the entire experience and journey, we did lose the goal, but we didn’t lose the journey!

All the days, time and effort it took all of SPDS to paint that small banner and the props! Thanking each and every individual that contributed as well!

Other than the fact that we did lose our consecutive win for opening item title, I’m really glad, hold on, I guess we’re all equally glad we did entertain and have brought joy to the audience in a bleak slur of competitive haphazardness. The reason SPDS has always enjoyed doing the opening item is because we seek to bring laughter, comedy or provocativity every time we hit the opening item floor. And I guess we had not missed out the essence with overfilled laugher and post-opening item thanks and praises which we’re deeply honoured by. By that, I believe we’ve won the audience’s attention and heart, which we had originally aimed to capture primarily when we first started out, it was all our aim and goal our hearts desired, it did occur to us that titles are secondary. While some said it’s better to be the one that has lost and yet believed to be deserving as compared to vice versa. I believe no one can complete that much a feat in the near future either. We ARE legendary. Whatever the judging criteria was. And we did complete the triple tranny threat anyway.

I’m personally very disappointed because I thought we could have done better in organisation. We lost the streak our seniors passed down to us. However hard some did try to comfort us that we didn’t let them down.

But then again, there were speculations of a political ploy and plot, but really, is there a need for such things? I guess no one will really know in the near future, and neither do I desire to know, everything is history now, and we’ll look forward to our next experience. I personally enjoyed being on the floor, being one of the many crude sources of entertainment. It was really fun! HAHA! I guess the next time SPDS hits the floor with an opening item, I’ll be the one roaring and cheering. I do look forward!

One chan-noona, ajuma and soo feng were all there too! Really cool to have 5 generations of SPDS as one, cheering each other. SPirit!

For now, back to having a slow and calm life of freedom! =D

This title is totally random, but it would mean, Thank you very much, I would like to rest now, and that’s my message to life.

I know it’s awfully tiring for you guys to hear my rant about myself being tired. Tired of being tired, very.

However, I’m happy to say that today would mark the last day of myself being really busy with dance, as most know, we’ll not be competing in the upcoming comp because we both need to rest and prep for the future, while for me, it’s back to the books and life. I lost most of it the past 2 years to dance, but it actually means down time for me la. Just need some serious rest before I pick up the pace again. Dance is life, and life is dance, that’ll be the passe motto to me for awhile. I need to cheat on dance for awhile, I know I’ll be back, but everyone needs a break for everything sometime. I’ll still be with dance, just that not that active, until it’s time to rock them hips again. I can never live without dance anyway, I know that, for sure, very much. We’ll be back, hopefully stronger and meaner! XD

I missed the days I had too much time, too much time for this and that, until I could hang out in the dearest BE club until I rotted like mad. But that was where poly’s life and fun started… XD Really miss them days!!!

Okay, for today’s performance, I just wanna say firstly, the title of the performance is really long and confusing, what Musical Delights XIQJIASSA LOLS! But to be not lazy, the exact title would be Musical Delights XXXIII if I’m correct. We had really tonnes of fun though there were some small moments of up and downs.

The whole journey up until today was pretty much over in a breeze, because we were a small segment, but to really perfect everything with a musical piece we’ve never been accustomed to, I guess we did complete quite a feat. We had fun learning the moves, very creative ones by instructors Melvin Tan JP also assisted by nicey instructor Sharon Tan HB! XD We had fun making mistakes, we had fun buying the mismatched costumes that were eventually not used but became our fash hash, we had fun choreographing an exit with SDZ contemporary/modern dancers. It was really pure fun la.

And can I just break away for a moment here to say that breakfast is really the goodie start to not just a very happy day, but also, a very energised and unfattening day? Nard and I had breakfast at J.CO despite being really late, our tardy selves, we apologise, but we were really hungry. And J.CO gives a better deal of breakfast with an aromatic cup of coffee accompanied by two donuts, great way to start your day, and the deal’s definitely better than your Macdonalds, anyday, Nard and I totally agree on that. The defattening part comes in where I totally felt unhungry the whole day! Must have been THE good breakfast!

We strayed away for a small lunch extraordinaire with sushi on the way back, omfg, the sushi was good! For the price and the location la, not too bad man, Nard and I shared two Salmon pieces before going on, my 1/4 went to sam, sian lor. LOLS!!! kidding!

Okay, I’m having a really kiddy way of posting it, so all you can pretty much see is a half awaken narration of the sequence of events just rumbling on, while Ning tries to sing the Phantom of the Opera. HAHAHA. No link, but it’s pretty awesome if you get to see the number of dress pieces the Master Of Ceremonies have to change to, simply amazing. Just for that 5mins or so! Would love to do that soon!

Our turn was here within a blink of many eyes, and we were soon running in! Many a times, I just really thought there was a guiding force somehow, cause we just managed to catch the cue and achieve good synchronisation. Thank the good force and the efforts of our ever passionate dancers! Not to forget the Band and SDZ as well!

It’s been a whole week of activity since school has re-opened, of which you might be suspicious towards because this is my second entry within the last 7 days, dangerous eh? XD

I’m cutting down on being busy, no busy bees for anything else other than myself, academics, other enjoyments and dance.

Sunday has been a good day for rest, and all that’s left is for me to pack up my dirty room, since I last left it dirty from the countdown party.

I’m the goodiest two shoes since I’ve done much housework and cleared most of the undone ‘these and thats’ already. I assure you there’re no better moments than those when no one is bothering you, there’s nothing left to do on the “to-do” list, and the others have to be done on other days.

Then it suddenly hit me if I should have been out today, then again, the finances are tight and I woke up at 4p.m. so the day was already night by the time I was done.

I do remember doing much part time work this week, but how come no $$ leh? LOLS. I need to make good use of my Budgetary Modules soon.

It’s alright it’s alright, I need to rest before the parties start to come again, CNY and stuffies won’t be forgiving for the party goers anyway. I call this the calm before the big storm. *gets prepared with over-sized army cap and military equipment, and no I don’t mean being prepared for NS, YETTTT LOLS*

The singtel guys told my dad they’ll be upgrading us to the 10 mbps plan for free with other mio tv stuffies, and I guess it was good and about time they did that. 3mbps is such a joke can… All I can say is, thank you very much and “ISN’T IT ABOUT TIME?!”

Perfect Serenity

Overrated, it actually means I’m supposed to be in perfect serenity, but I’m obviously not, look at the time! Be it sleep or just sitting or laying restless while time passes by, I guess it’s still something that I’ve yet to get in a long while.

FYP, Mr/Ms Final Year Project is finally over, with many proclaiming that they’ve finally ditched him (for ladies) and the guys, (can finally dump her, thank goodness she might just be a pms demon anyway, always haunting us HAHAHA). But we can finally breathe easy, and just keep our fingers crossed, for us, we didn’t have a hounding lecturer in charge, so I would guess we’re on either make or break, with probably no in betweens. Of course, I’m proud to say, there’re tonnes of efforts and thoughts grilled into the project, from the time we had no idea what to do, too many ideas to settle on, to the great and not-so-great times spent in the office and of course opening up a wonderful deal of time knowing each other in the team. It’s a time where I would say, okay, not bad.

I’m very sure I deserve a good break and rest before returning to the hassle and buzz of school life and everything else, but still, I’m here, smack in front of the screen, but it’s well worth the time for I’m penning some thoughts at this junction. Where next? What next? I guess I’ll take my time to figure out.

When I reached home, all was silent as I tucked into my “sze chap mui fan” haha! The usual after-dance munchies, very fattening, but, oh wells! XD It suddenly hit me when I remembered how everyone always complained that they’re sleeping away 1/3 of their lives, and how some even wished and wondered why there should be sleep. 8 hours in a 24 hour day, that’s 33.3%, some think it’s not enough while others think it’s too much, I belong to the former category of lazy bums, so, sleep is like sin and delicacy to me, something I wish to get hold of whenever possible.

I’m no philosopher, but hasn’t it always been contradicting when people work their lives off everyday, pulling their restless bodies out of bed at 6-7a.m. and rushing the last gist of work at 1a.m. only to get less than the required amount of sleep? Then when they hit their 40s and 50s, they finally realise how thoroughly unfortunate they are to get illnesses and diseases that plaque their ability to truly enjoy the rest of what life has to offer. Of which, most of what could have been enjoyed in this short visit has already past the age it’s optimal in.

The body to me, as I thought, is like your laptop, you can charge it for 2 hours, but if you run it fully, maximising it, you probably only have 2 hours of optimal use time, after which, it goes flat, and the same goes for your iPhone and stuffs, I don’t get more than the charge time. So likewise, what makes you think your body can endure this crazy cycle you put it through? To really worsen things, look at all the yummy junk food and sodas! I wouldn’t think my laptop’s battery and motherboards would make it through a swell 3 years if I made it run at top speed every day. Likewise, this body you have is not exactly replaceable, forget spare parts and changeable batteries, we don’t have any organic portions of that. If you truly wear this body out, then don’t question the heavens and hell when your medical reports and test read a positive on “last journey/last stop”.

You might well argue the above is dedicated to my own slackness, yes and no lar, I do burn the midnight oil quite frequently, until my classmates tell me I look dead and zombified, the other interesting comments include “Your eyebags are as big as your eyes” (fann thanks arh) and “Your dark circles are getting worse”. I do hope I can have a choice over what responsibilities I want at times. Hmm…

Random Thoughts and Acts:

1. Jinfang Yunting and I cheered our breakfast orange juices and milo to code mon mon, for she’s always fleeing from all those copyright trackers despite the quality kpop videos she provides us with! aww, sweet her!

2. I decided it’s lame to keep listening to KPOP without knowing what it means, so I’ll start watching and reading english subtitles and lyrics.

3. I’m starting to get hooked onto Sign! by BEG of course! XD

4. My table now has 1 SNSD calendar and 1 Chang Min calendar, and the changmin one is turning ghastly because yon bought the like, uber cheapo version, LOLS!

5. My laptop is uber slow, wtf.

6. I used to love the idea of trashing your deepest and darkest thoughts on the blog, but I guess there is really no safer place to keep the more offending and unliked ones than in your mind, deeply stashed in the brain cells. No one on this walking earth truly appreciates good gestures or honest opinions. Well, not many. LOLS

After watching the subtitles, I’m thinking this song is really great! While at least there’s meaning to it!

Oneself

The greatest challenge and enemy one can have, is oneself. And to overcome and defeat that person, might mean success for many.

Of which I doubt I have, but will work towards in defeating.

I know I’m supposed to be snoozing, like really hard, and have the whole of tomorrow to myself in packing and cleaning up the house, but really, I just can’t seem to pop into bed. Time’s been passing by too fast lately. FYP’s in a slow and steady closure, tonnes to do, slowly, but surely, wish us luck then.

The competition today was, enjoyable! But Jennifertay and I have yet to prove ourselves worthy. At least that’s what both of us think, like coming short of how we should have done. But we shall work hard in ensuring we bring what we want to produce to the audience soon enough. But let there be patience and passion in this endless rush. For art, cannot be rushed. (trying to sound philosophical) LOLS

Must thank MSJENNIFERTAY for fighting hard even when her heel base broke, heel protector came off and then decided to lose itself, and everything just wasn’t going right, really, even my dancepants strap snapped, like wtf right… Still, however stressed and freaked out we were, I guess it did help to remember to enjoy the dance lar, not exactly focusing on the outcome, though it’s still important, but the process itself! Isn’t that what dance is all about?

Oh and did I mention, we met this gabrielite junior! Apparently he’s in NPDS and I’ve been finding him very familiar since the start of the competition, so okay, it is him after all. Cheers to gabrielites in dancesport! XD

Other than the spiffy footwork, SPDS has done it again with their opening item, okay, self-proclaimed-opening-item-ownage-again. We flooded the floor with nobody and abracadabra, crazily, and as usual, it’s SPDS. We know the audience loved it la, so we shall do more of these things. HAHAHA!

3D Holiday

AVATAR is just so fantastic! This is fresh so I’m gonna bomb it while it still is. Everyone I know comes out from the cinema rattling about how good it is, singing praises and some just being absolutely awed! It’s definitely a must watch, I’m gamed for a rewatch, but it’s one movie you MUST own on DVD! 3D DVD if possible! HAHAHA!

Everyone has their own share of how great the movie is and was. I’m no uber movie critic, but I would think the movie was great on 2 counts: It created a new world every person that left the show wished they could live in and How cruel and inhumane humans are. Other than that, the little knits like the taming of a wild winged pet, how forgotten and important nature is and the emotional connection different creatures in humanoid forms can have. I guess it really did steal my sanity for awhile, how one wished the world of Pandora really existed!

I did catch some of the “making-of” on TV, so I saw how fantastic it was for everything to come together, the technology, the exploration of the wild and really how engrossed and passionate the actors were. Just fabulous!

No wonder the news angled it as a James Cameron movie. Awesomely well worth the 10 years!

And how did we end up in the 3d cinema at cathay on a goodie christmas holiday? HAHAHA! I don’t know! Really! XD But we did have a good time shopping at UNIQLO@313! endless sales this season, but like Nard says, sucks to be broke, so yeap, work hard and make sure the next generation doesn’t go through this! =P

Seriously, I wanted to get a nice Gmask for my iPhone, so that it stops being fat with the silicon cover it’s decked in, but the sad part of gmask is that it comes only in pre-designed templates, or at least you can only put on masks that have been pre-designed. I cannot get single colours… like wtf man! what happened to brains… ~~~

With my second brother getting his load of pay, the whole family gets to have a night’s fill at Carnivore! He paid for most of it, but I topped it up cause I didn’t treat anyone I got my first pay, since it wasn’t a proper first job pay, hahaha! But I did bring them boys for a really lousy movie: Storm Warriors 2 2009, it’s just not worth anyone’s time, or cash. LOLS

Carnivore serves up a really fresh plate of meat, meat and more meat. Fish’s great, sirloin’s cool, but if you’re not there for a special occasion or so, I guess it might not be that worth it. Unless you can’t live without meat. Now that’s, a different story.

So I’m at the end of this very long post and I can say, finally!

The holidays are ending, and I don’t think I’ll continue with weekly updates for awhile since it’s gonna get really busy, but I shall continue with random updates! And hopefully update this outdated Windows Live Writer I’m on! :D

Personal Time

Instead of just doing weekly rants, I think it would be great if I dedicated one small segment to my personal thoughts. So I don’t look or sound so ‘hit and go’ every weekend.

And on personal time, I’m sure it’s not just me who has this occasional need for self time and activities, where you’re really just with yourself, doing something you need, like or just to pass time. I once read on another’s blog that he takes occasional jogs or runs every week, and he likes doing it alone, because of the time it gives him to think, relax and perhaps, cut his nails, hahaha!

I like my personal time long, and undisturbed! Like for once, today, I had the whole day to myself! Managed to rest and recoup! So I had good fun going to Rivervale Mall, getting my usual Cup Walker fix, mm hmm, Caramel Milk Tea with pearls! Then Diaso-ed, good finds, and the cable winders I was hoping for them to carry were in store! So for you people who have a hard time reeling your cables manually and in hassle, just pop over for a $2 pack of cable clips or cable reel, either works! It’s great when no one’s expecting anything from you, so I carried on strolling around, got my duck-riced lunch, and went home to clean up my room, watched Race to Witch Mountain while folding the clothes before coming here to do some entires! HAHA.

Self time doesn’t have to be long at times, like for example, I don’t carry my handphone with me if I were to take a short stroll to the mall or anywhere else. I want to stay uncontactable, uncontacted. Long personal periods are ones where I shut my handphone off when I’m off for vacation. Nope, don’t even think of calling. And I don’t check emails even if there’s a computer near me.

Like Dad says, vacations are meant to be long, you wanna go on Holiday, go for 3 weeks, month long holidays, why go on a 3 day trip? Sounds more like a prisoner’s escape from war, unless what you really seek is just a short escape from reality. You might get to enjoy nothing at all…

And really, the more you think about it, sometimes it sounds really great if you actually stopped and thought for yourself, what new activity to pick up for a short holiday. What new skills to learn, what new experiences to acquire and which leap to take next, and when?! Ha ha ha!

This week wise, I guess it’s seriously a rush! I just can’t seem to stop and think properly, I hardly remember things lecturers say during lessons, and I feel really distracted all the time… OOh dear, what’s going on?! Hope I can settle down a bit more this week, exams are next week!

other than being frozen, the past few days of the week has just been a journey of lugging a jacket out and trying to defrost myself at every air-conditioned location possible. XD

I’m not sure if it’s me being semi-sick, but I’ve been asking everyone around me if, they were really freezing also, and yes, the answer was, “It’s not just you”, point proven.

So yup, if you do wish to stay well, and not flu-ish or feverish, do remember to pop on your jackets, my sore throat was due to the fast chugging during one of the party nights, not exactly the weather, so I’m still valid ya, XD. Advice from the elderly, drink your cough syrup or medicine before your conditions worsen, or the only present you’re getting from Santa and your loved ones this year will probably revolve around medications and “get-well” soon cards, HAHAHA!

I wasn’t too sure if the chilly weather would flow over to the december holidays, but really, what holidays, we have exams then, still, I tried an extended weather forecast and realised the furthest it could go was till next Monday, and it looks like we’ll be having them thunder clouds for awhile. I thought we’re already pretty advanced to know what can happen next month, or at least, this Christmas, but I guess it’s not really that accessible to the public, currently…

As to whether if we’re still fortunate enough to sleep without or with the air-conditioners, I guess we won’t know till 2 weeks later or so… Drastic weather changes are already a reality, so all I can hope for is a chilly christmas, not a warm one. LOLS

For those who don’t know, Iluma brands itself as a Lifestyle Mall, and not just your plain shopping mall, that’s why you don’t see Girodano and those “typical” stores there.

Tuesday at Clubhouse!

Club house used to be a big bore, with the committee members coming in only to file their materials. But I guess it is slowly changing. All the effort made to populate this office area is happening! With more board games coming in like Risk, thanks to Don, and other future donations, hopefully we’ll be a livelier and wilder club! XD

5/6 of my poly life, I saw a club plunge from greatness to darkness, pun intended, and others that were flying great swop low for awhile, and then back to a slow, yet steady ascent to success. Sometimes, it’s just like watching a movie. HAHA

FC6 is <3!

Though we were up on the hill because we had really nothing better to do on a wednesday, other than the food, there was pretty much a great atmosphere and “scenery” as well! I guess it was really a “bon appetit” experience for us! XD Well worth the climb!

Wanton Mee Store: Wanton Mee Dry and Dumpling Noodle Soup (4/5)
Excellent! 1/5 went away because they didn’t serve the noodles I liked =P

Fish Soup Store: FAILFAILFAILFAIL (1/5)

Japanese Food: Salmon Bowl (3.5/5)
FC 3’s still better

Drinks wise, they do serve pretty nice grass jelly considering the low price, obviously diluted, but they make it up with quantity XD

I have a habit of preferring to sleep in my own room or my own bed only… Because I really hate sharing things, like my sleeping space =P So I didn’t stay over, and went home to get my 12 hours… =P Pretty much the hogger =P

The week’s has been pretty or, very busy. No guessing, I know it. But I hope it was all worth it.

All the previously on-going projects have already ended, and I hope I don’t get anything new and heavy till I’m done with the old load. I’m really sorry if I haven’t completed certain tasks, esp one I really tried, even if it was only one short sentence.

I went down to NewYorkSkin solution’s $10 promotion, and all I can say is, the savings aren’t worth the guilt stricken talk, it’s business, and I guess if you’re there, you should prepare to spend, or else, restrict all your emotions and feelings from being tempted to sign up for any purchases. I didn’t have the budget to sign up, or else, I would have done it, he he, as in because I do intend to fix my eye bags and dark eye circles. The way they sell, tackle your emotions and get you to fix your problems through a series of packages is pretty much framed-worked, to the extent they made racist slurs at another targeted race, not intending to mention it, but oh well, it’s business right. I was enjoying how she was trying to convince me at every point of contact, nonchalantly, and pretty much very insistent.

Got a two and half hour treatment with a peppermint mask, honey mask, sea salt scrub, collagen stuffs and etc, pretty much worth the experience! XD

I took some personal before and after photos, and all I can say is, what difference? The only other thing I had was a very good night’s sleep that night, but seriously, when I showed bernard the photos, he said, “yar got difference, the AFTER photo more bitchy” WTHHH CANN!!! LOLS! just because I took the before photo at a different angle for the after photo… LOLS, seriously…

This coming week’s for completing assignments and everything and anything academic! Exams are coming and studies are my priority, just hope it won’t over stack…
